FILM PRODUCTION

35mm Dailies and Digital Dailies.
During a films production it is important for the crew’s creative team to view footage from a days shoot. The opportunity to check performance, framing, focus and lighting allows the crew to evaluate their progress. If a problem is found it is possible to avoid costly reshoots after the production has wrapped. Conventionally Preview Theatres provide this service in a studio environment.
Digital dailies are now being more widely implemented thus allowing the production to telecine all their dailies. These can be played back from HD tape or directly from an Avid in the cutting room. For location dailies we usually provide a 2K DLP cinema projector (i.e NEC NC800/NC900) and a Sony HDCAM playback machine. Please contact us to arrange a configuration suitable for your production.
The ability to screen dailies while shooting on location is a valuable service that Bell Theatre Services offers. A Digital cinema projector is used to give best results and to match playback during VFX and screenings in commercial cinemas. Coupled with this a screen, sound system and 3D playback equipment where needed.
